A letdown of a season. After 4 years of steady improvement the
Saints struggled to make .500.
Bobby Hebert held out for the season and Super-Flash John
Fourcade couldn't return to his form from the year before. Dallas
QB Steve Walsh was acquired for a slew of high draft picks.
Unfortunately, Walsh remained inconsistent for the most
part.
Despite these problems the Saints made their second ever playoff
appearance as a last second field goal by Morten Andersen beat
the Rams and they grabbed a wildcard spot.
Unfortunately we wound up losing to Chicago 6-16 in the snow the
following week.
The defense remained the strength of the team..
