Dalton Hilliard | Rookie Running Back in 1986

Dalton Hilliard, the New Orleans Saints 2nd round pick of the 1986 draft, carries against the Houston Oilers during the preseason of his rookie season. Hilliard had a modestly productive year his first season as a Saint. 425 yards on the ground and 107 yards receiving he accounted for 5 touchdowns. He remained with the Saints until 1993. When he did retire he left as the Saints #2 All-Time leading rusher behind the great George Rodgers. As of today, he is still #4 on the Team’s All-Time Career Rushing Yards list. His 18 touchdowns of the 1989 season led the league that year and is still a franchise record.
