New Orleans Saint quarterback Archie Manning spent a lot of his of his time in New Orleans on the run, and a lot of time on the ground. In 11 seasons he was sacked 340 times. With Archie, New Orleans led the NFL in sacks given up 3 different seasons. Ironically, in 1979, the Saints only gave up 17 sacks, only Tampa Bay did better that year. As a comparison, Drew Brees, as of 2013 – after 9 seasons with New Orleans, has been sacked 183 times and Aaron Brooks was sacked 209 times after 6 years with the Saints.
