Found this little gem of Saints History at St. Mary’s Poker Club and thought it would be really cool to share with you Saints fans. It’s a video of New Orleans Saints wide receiver Jeff Groth. After 2 modest seasons with the Houston Oilers, Groth joined the Saints when Bum Phillips took over in 1981 and handled much of the punt return duties in first years with the Saints.
With such running backs as George Rodgers, Wayne Wilson and Hokie Gajan, Bum Phillips remained very run-heavy and relied little on the passing game. Even so, Jeff Groth led the team in receiving in 1982 and 1983.

I've been following the Saints since a kid in the 70s watching the likes of Archie Manning and Tommy Myers.
We may not have as grandiose a history as some NFL teams, but there are scores of memories the New Orleans Saints have given to their fans and I have done my best to record them here at New Orleans Saints History.
Sammy Knight played a total of 12 seasons in the NFL. Six of those years where in New Orleans where he finished as the #3 Saints career Interception Leader.
Saints action from the 1972 NFL season. Howard Cosell highlights the New Orleans Saints 19-16 upset over the Los Angeles Rams at Tulane Stadium. Saints kicker Happy Feller kicked a 33-yard winning field goal with 6 seconds left. Quarterback Archie Manning ran for a score and threw another in the victory as well.
Showing a little love for former Saints fullback Tony Galbreath who played from 1976 to 1980 with a graphic of his famous one-handed catch made against the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night in 1979.
